Roosevelt Information

A few reminders so you can stay in the know:

~ Conferences are coming...can you believe that? The online sign-up for conferences will come to you on Friday, November 5. Please sign up for one, 20-minute conference for your child. Virtual conferences will be an option should you prefer that. Masks are required for all, including adults, so if you'd prefer to meet virtually because of this (or for other reasons), please contact your child's teacher after you choose a conference time.

~ Mark your calendar...Roosevelt Book Fair: The Roosevelt Book Fair will be held November 16-18 during the first two nights of conferences. Typical Scholastic book orders are taking a very long time to fill, so be thinking of any gifts you may want to purchase for the holidays and buy them at the book fair! More information to come about the Book Fair so stay tuned!

~ Please join the Roosevelt Elementary Community Facebook page! Our PTO will be pushing out important information using that page, so please join the page and stay in the loop!!!!

~ Application for Educational Benefits: Even though meals are being offered at no charge this year, families that meet financial qualifications should still apply for free and reduced meals. This benefit is used for more than just meals. Extra-curricular activities, reduced price internet, P-EBT benefits and many other programs use this status to help families.

You can apply online in the parent portal on a computer or click here for an application. Please send completed applications to the Roosevelt office or the nutrition services office. Once the application is processed you will receive a letter with either acceptance or denial to the program. Please, please, please fill out this paperwork if you think you may qualify. Our funding depends on this information! If you need help, we are happy to help in the Roosevelt office--just call or stop in!

~ School Pictures: These have been scheduled for Monday, November 8. Here's the online link to order pictures. The school code is: FM370866. Paper copies will also be available in the office should you need/want that. Please have your child come to the office to get a paper copy if you prefer ordering that way.

Birthday Book IDEAS!!!! Take a peek!!!

With district wide budget cuts, our library book budget has been severely reduced. We are still dedicated to filling the Roosevelt Media Center with the latest new releases that kids are excited to read. If you are donating a Birthday Book, please consider some of these titles (see below) to help us keep our collection up to date and filled with great reads! Each week we will share new titles, so please consider a Birthday Book donation to the Roosevelt Media Center using some of these suggestions. Your child's teacher has all of the Birthday Book information, so be looking for that coming home in your child's birthday month. And don't worry...teachers will communicate with you if your child has a summer birthday! :-)
