A message from Mrs. Rudder
Dear Penngrove Families,
I want to thank you for welcoming me to your school. I've enjoyed meeting your wonderful children and watching them learn and grow. Penngrove School is fortunate to have a fantastic teaching and classified staff and I have really enjoyed working with them. The time has passed quickly and I will be passing the torch back to Mrs. Fadeji during Winter Break.
I wish you all the blessings of the holiday season and the best in the year ahead. Enjoy your time with family and friends during the Winter Break. School resumes on Monday, January 8, 2018.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Rudder

Pick Up and Drop Off Concerns
Many parents have contacted the office to express concerns about morning and afternoon driving concerns. A CHP officer is planning on meeting with Mrs. Rudder to answer some of the questions that parents have posed. That information will be shared by Mrs. Fadeji in January. Most of the morning problems could be abated by trying to arrive between 8:00 and 8:10. When the bulk of cars arrive between 8:10 and 8:20 we have cars backed up on Adobe Road and Petaluma Hill Road. We have Playground Supervisors who start before 8:10 so students are welcome to come to school a bit early and their parents will have a less stressful beginning to the day.
In addition to all the concerns regarding moving in and out of the parking lot, there is a huge concern about the speed of some of the cars that are driving through the lot. It is imperative that all cars move at a very slow rate, even after drop-off. The safety of all of the students is our major concern, there are many students moving through the lot, PLEASE wait to speed up until you are on Adobe Road.
This Thursday, 12/21/17 ALL Penngrove students will be dismissed at noon. Kindergarten students will be dismissed from their classrooms, NOT walked to the parking lot by their teachers. We will have many teachers and staff members helping to monitor the traffic situation at the end of the day. The word of the day will be PATIENCE. Our goal is for your children to safely leave school that afternoon and embark on Winter Break. If all the adults are patient, this will be accomplished!!
