Room 3 News
January 8, 2016
Monday morning, our first day back, brought snow showers! We couldn't resist going outside to experience the first flakes of the new year! Then we had plenty to write about when we worked on our "It's January" page!
As we welcome a new year we talked about resolutions like keeping our rooms clean, doing the best we can do at school and being kind to our siblings! We also reviewed the rules for school. Working in teams we created our own New Years Balls that were filled with school rules.
With the temperatures in the 20s early this week, we had to stay inside at recess. But that's ok! We like that, too! With the cold weather upon us, please be sure to dress your child for appropriate outside recess. Coats, hats, gloves, scarves are a must!! Please label these items, if possible, with your child's name.
Presenting Our Rules!
Each team shared their New Years Ball of rules! Sharing and presenting is easy when we've worked hard to establish a safe, caring community using the Responsive Classroom Approach! Make Good Choices is the ONLY rule we need!
Star of the Week!
Our star this week said he likes Monday best because he gets to come to school and continue learning! His favorite food is pizza and he likes the song Uptown Funk because he likes to dance! Our star has one sister. He likes to play soccer and his friends think he has good handwriting!
Kid's Quote of the Week!
"I love you, Mrs. Slechta!" I needed that one this week!
