Reminders
- Remember to be on the look out for any Fast Pass forms that parents may be turning in. Please turn them into Mrs. Arriola ASAP!
- With an increased number of guests in the building, please continue to be vigilant about ensuring that you spot a visitor's badge on all visitors. If you see someone without a sticker, stop them and ask them how you can help them. Ask if they have checked in at the front of office and ask about their sticker. If they do not have one, tell them you will escort them to the front office to ensure they receive their sticker. Every visitor in the building must have a visible sticker or a badge on including district personnel.
- I know that everyone is tired and ready for the break. This coming week is very stressful for everyone due to the number of events and deadlines that are due before the break. Help each other, lift each other up and let me know if there is anything I or the rest of the admin team can do for you!
Capturing Kids' Hearts
Launch
In the CKH EXCEL Teaching Model, Launching has to do with the way we end and send. It is the way teachers end a classroom experience and the way they send their charges forth to face the future. This is vastly different from just having students rush out the door when the bell rings.
This can be done with a quote, question, class chant, joke, etc!
Example.... "Today was good, today was fun, tomorrow let's have another one!"
You can do something different every day or do the same thing each day...whatever works for your class and is positive!
If you've already been doing this in your room, OR start next week, record a video of you and your students and send it in to admin! We'd love to see you Capturing Kids' Hearts with your Launch!
Staff Affirmations
- A big thank you to Assessment Team, Mr. Ibarra, Mrs. Morales, Mrs. Flaherty and Mrs. Howard for always Leading by Example and demonstrating tenacity, integrity, competence and working collaborative with each other and our admin team. This team has gone above and beyond and have worked countless hours to ensure our babies receive the services they need and in cases spending weekends writing reports to complete the process before deadlines just to ensure our babies receive the services they need!
- Thanks to Mrs. Reyes for opening her beautiful home to us and hosting an awesome party last week! This provided an opportunity for our staff to continue to build relationships and collaborate with each other outside the walls of our campus!
- Thank you to ALL of our wonderful teachers, paras and staff for your TENACITY this month! You continue to greet each student with a big smile on your face and making everyone in our building feel welcome. Even though December is one of the hardest months in education, you guys rocked it and make it look EASY! We appreciate all that you do!
