Are apart of the same international organizations like NATO, WTO , G7, and G20. Canada revives 70% of U.S imports. U.S takes 80% of Canada's exports. $1.5 million in goods and services where exchanged every minute in 2013. More than 8 million jobs depend on trade with Canada.
Over 300,000 people cross the Canadian and U.S border daily for business, pleasure, and family. Over 8,000 trucks cross the border each day commercially. Tourist from U.S. and Canada go to Niagara Falls.

In December 2011 Minister Stephen Harper and President Barack Obama lunched the Action Plan on Perimeter Security and Economic Competitiveness. U.S and Canada have come up with 3 ways to help protect the border: Cross-Border Crime Forum, Integrated Border Enforcement Teams (IBETS), and Canada-U.S. Shiprider.
