WYHS Weekly Update
For the Week of March 30-April 4, 2020
Weekly Announcements!
Check out this week's video announcements from WYHS staff.
Letter from the Counselors!
Hi Seniors-
We have some "news" related to your graduation requirements.
On March 27th, the governor signed a bill into action, "House Bill 197", that waived state test requirements for the spring and said that seniors who earn their 20 credits (in the correct areas) will be eligible for graduation.
We wanted to reach out to you as all of you should have received a letter in the mail from your school counselor that had your transcript and what you needed to pass/do to graduate, including Digital Academy courses.
If your paper said that you needed to take a state test, the Ohio Means Jobs seal, community service hours, work hours, etc, you NO LONGER need to do this, nor turn in the paperwork to us.
However, this doesn't mean you can stop working on the classes we listed that you need to pass in order to graduate. YOU MUST EARN THE 20 CREDITS!!! You must finish all needed Digital Academy credits.
For reference, read below:
"Permits public and private schools to grant a diploma to any student on track to graduate and for whom the principal, in consultation with teachers and counselors, determines that the student has successfully completed the student’s high school curriculum or individualized education program at the time of the Director’s order. "

If you have any questions, please reach out to us! We love our seniors and are missing you lots!

Ms. Thomas ( thomasj@wcsrams.org), Last Names L-Z
Senior Baby Pictures!
Be sure to get your pictures turned in for this year's senior slideshow. You can submit up to three pictures: One baby/youth photo, one recent photo, and one fun, candid picture of you and your friends from over the years. These are just suggestions, and you are welcome to send in the ones that you love the most. Here is the link to submit them: https://tinyurl.com/wyhs2020pics
