As always, if you would like to purchase facial mists, oil rollers, and sugar scrubs now, please follow this link to our Unique Boutique order form.

Unfortunately, due to product availability we are not currently selling succulents, but they will return for our Mother's Day plant sale.

Thank you!

Guess What??

If you are driving onto OSSB's campus anytime soon, look for a brand new OSSB sign! You may remember, our former school sign was removed during construction of our current school building and dormitories.

Be on the lookout for our new OSSB sign "coming soon!"

Photos show our original sign, a red brick structure with white letters that say "5220 - Ohio State School for the Blind", and a new brick structure awaiting signage. In the background of the second photo is the Ohio Historical marker placed in 2003.

OSSB Calendar - November 22nd and 23rd - Online Learning

OSSB and OSD continue to work to keep our schools and dorm environments as safe as possible for students staff and staff from the COVID-19 virus. Due to our historically low attendance on the days before the Thanksgiving holiday, we have chosen this time to move to remote online learning for Monday & Tuesday, November 22 & 23 for all students. This will allow for more students to engage in learning and we are excited for this new way to connect.

This time will allow for students to work with teachers in small groups and individual time for IEP goals. We will provide additional deep cleaning of classrooms and dorms prior to return on Sunday, November 28th for residential students and Monday, November 29th for day students.

Our Directors for Teaching and Learning (Ms. Wagner and Mr. Doudt) will reach out to you soon with additional information concerning the remote online learning for November 22 & 23. We feel extremely blessed and thankful this Thanksgiving season for the minimal effects COVID-19 has had on our schools this fall to be able to keep our schools open. With this additional deep cleaning, we will continue to see such success into the new year.

OSSB Memory Quilt 2020-21

Hanging in the halls of OSSB is a Memory Quilt, made by OSSB students in collaboration with visiting artist, Claudia Retter. Grant funding was provided through the Ohio Arts Council's TeachArts Ohio grant. Each square represents a student's memory from OSSB. Check out this beautiful tactile quilt! Photo behind this week's Panther Paws shows the Memory Quilt hanging at OSSB.

Another outcome of the grant was a memory book entitled, This moment in Time. The book includes artwork and stories written by OSSB students, as well as quotes and reflections from current and former staff and students. To view and/or order your own copy of the memory book - click here.
