NEWS: ACTE National Policy Seminar 2016

The State of Indiana was well represented this year at the ACTE National Policy Seminar (NPS), on February 29, March 1st, and March 2nd in Washington DC. In all, 17 CTE professionals from Indiana attended the conference, these included teachers, administrators, and representatives from PLTW and FFA national offices, both located in Indianapolis. During the conference attendees learned about current and pending legislation, best practices for advocacy, and most importantly met with their elected officials. Within the meetings the unified focus was on reauthorization of Perkins, and restored funding levels. All the meetings were very beneficial with elected officials and their staff recognizing and either continuing or enhancing their support of CTE.

Congratulations are in order:

The ACTE Member Awards recognize excellence and dedication within the field of career and technical education among ACTE members.
