Weekly Tech Tips
To take a screen shot on a chromebook you can press Ctrl + ‘The key above the number 6’ (it is a square with 2 vertical lines next to it) and it will take a screen shot. You can also press Ctrl + Shift + ‘The key above the number 6’ to get a partial screen shot of just the area that you want.
Have you ever accidentally sent an email before you had it fully composed, especially when using a touch screen device? An easy solution is to compose the email first before adding recipients. Email will remind you to add recipients before it can send. Your content may also remind you of others who might benefit from your email.
This Week's Digital Daredevils!
This week's Digital Daredevils are Mr. Vermeulen and his classes at the high school! They have been hard at work on the portfolios and lots of other tech items.
Students have made a separate PLTW tab on their portfolios and linked to their own Google Sites they made.
Students make time-lapse videos and do 3-D renderings of objects. Great job Brent and students! Check out one of their time-lapse videos below if you're signed into your school Google account.
Helpful Link of the Week
This week's link is to Piktochart. Piktochart is a web-based program that allows the user to create professional-quality posters, presentations, reports, and infographics. There are templates to choose from, or you can create your own from scratch. There are plenty of graphics and images in the program to choose from. You can click the "log in with Google" button and not need to create another username and password.
