Guidance
What is PBIS?
The Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports program is based upon a philosophy of recognizing positive contributions of students. Our goal is to help each child develop self discipline. The home and school share the responsibility for developing good citizens. Parents, teachers and students must work together to maintain a safe learning environment. As a part of PBIS, teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff will have the responsibility to TEACH positive behavior expectations to students. PBIS means students will know exactly what is expected of them. Students who take responsibility to behave positively will be recognized and rewarded in a variety of ways. Students will also know the consequences that will result when they choose NOT to meet the school-wide expectations. At Henry Moss Middle School, our school-wide expectations are taught and reinforced throughout the school year. Talk with your students about what these expectations mean to them, and how they can apply them to home, school and community settings. Our school-wide expectations are: Respect, Academic Excellence, and Leadership.

Service Fair
The 7th Annual WCPS Services Fair for immigrant and refugee families will be held on Saturday November 18th at Warren Central High School from 9 AM until 2 PM.
The Services Fair was started in order to provide free health screenings and access to information about physical and mental health to our international community members.
Health service providers will provide free vision, hearing, head & neck, blood pressure, scoliosis screenings. Some very limited dental services will also be provided. There will also be an area with information booths that can provide families with information pertaining to health and community resources.
Lunch will be provided to participating families at no charge. Free transportation using church vans and the International Center bus will transport families to and from the Services Fair from some areas of our community (Bryant Way & Lovers Lane apartments, Barnwood area apartments, Creekwood Apartment, Rock Creek Apartments, Lee Point Apartments, and the area near the Housing Authority). Pick-ups begin at approximately 8 am and will go on throughout the morning. The vans and bus will also return families to these areas. The vans and bus will be clearly marked with Services Fair signs.
We invite all families in our WCPS international community to participate in the Services Fair!
