Arbor Day: 5th grade students will be gifted a sapling to bring home for planting. If you prefer to not have your child participate in planting a tree at home, please call the office and we will make sure that your tree is gifted to another.

SBAC Testing Begins For All Grades on Wednesday, 4/19
Grades 3 and 4 will test in the morning. Grade 5 will test in the afternoon.
Math Testing will be held on Monday, 5/1; Wednesday, 5/3; Monday, 5/8; and Wednesday, 5/10.
Grades 3 and 4 will test in the morning. Grade 5 will test in the afternoon.
Science Testing will be held on Thursday 4/27 and Friday 4/28 for GRADE 5 ONLY!
Grade 5 will test in the afternoon.
SBAC Reminders
Testing will be conducted on the days listed above. There may be situations where students will be testing outside of these times.
Cell phones and smart watches/devices are not permitted in the room while testing.

57th Annual Arts Festival
Please join the EPS community in celebrating the arts this weekend at our 57th Annual Arts Festival sponsored by The Woman’s Club of Enfield. The festival will be held in the Enfield High School Cafeteria on Friday, April 21st, 7:00-9:00 pm and Saturday, April 22nd, 12:00-3:00 pm.
Your students and colleagues will truly appreciate seeing you there.
This year’s attractions include:
- Artwork from students in all PK-12 schools
- Large collaborative installations centered on this year's theme of Multiples
- Art-making demonstrations from Enfield students
- Performances from Enfield's Musical Arts Department
- 7th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser- all proceeds benefit the Enfield Food Shelf
- Fundraisers, raffles, and refreshments

Educational, Safety, Mental Health, and Food Insecurity Resources
As required under Public Act 21-46, the CSDE has updated Educational, Safety, Mental Health and Food Insecurity Resources for Families and Students.
This resource also includes Support & Services | Wrap CT (connectingtocarect.org)developed by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF).
Please note: Public Act 21-116 requires each local and regional board of education to distribute the Support & Services information at least semi-annually to the parents and guardians of each student in the school district and to any student taking a course in health and safety and make the link available on its website.

Eli Whitney PTO is collecting gently used books suitable for 3rd-5th grade reading levels.
Donated books will be gifted to Whitney students who are unable to shop our Spring Scholastic Book Fair.
Help us ensure every student gets to bring home a “new to them” book!
A collection bin is located in the main office. Please send in book donations by May 12th.
