Coyote Staff Weekly Update

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to school everyone! It was definitely a surreal experience for some and a harrowing and stressful experience for others. I appreciate your professionalism, kindness, dedication, and caring during the last week. As we enter this week, please remember that our students have been away from our school at least 6-9 days. My goal is to balance easing back into the school routine with just getting back to normal! Let's have a wonderful day!

Staff ShoutOuts

Shoutout to all staff who implemented our phone tree and kept on top of the messages being sent regarding school closure, etc. You rock!

Coyote Fun Run--Date Change

We have postponed the Fun Run. We have a preliminary date set but we are pressing pause on the event and the fundraising for this week so we can focus on re-engaging our students, on caring for those that need care, and for re-focusing on academics.

I met with Boosterthon on Friday via conference call and will release details after I meet with the PTA executive board today. For now, if students ask, please tell them we are going to have the Fun Run but that we want the air to clear and to get school back to normal operations.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is coming up October 23rd-27th. We have ordered materials to hand out to every kid and encourage you to participate with activities in the classroom. We will let you know when supplies arrive!

Halloween and Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is October 27th. The flyer is here. Please feel free to share this with parents.

Also, we will hold the Halloween Parade on October 31st at 8:25. We will do two laps (no stopping in the amphitheater like year) and then report to class. TK/Kindergarten will hold a mid-day parade for the PM classes.

#Movetober continues

My run streak continued (probably against all sane health advice) but I definitely packed on a few pounds during the time I was away.

I hope you can join me in getting out to find some time to move (walk, dance, jump, run, swim, wheel, climb, tap, play, etc.). Whatever you can do to move, do it! Celebrate the weather and make your health a priority. Know you have my support.

If you are up for it, join the Spooky Stampede Run/Walk 5k on October 27th. Check it out here:
