Form of gpvernment

New York has a governor and an elected assembly. The charter of liberties gives free rights to do all dutch and english settlers. New york also has religious freedom.

Geographic Characteristics

New York had hot, humid summers, and bitterly cold windy winters with much more snow. The terrain was swampy near the coast and the hudson river.
