3rd Grade
Newsletter for February 23, 2017
From the Teacher's Pen
The trimester is winding down. The 3rd graders are working feverishly to complete a spooky house story they started in October. Editing, revising and typing and then editing again has proven to be a lengthy process. 3rd graders are also completing their Native American projects. I am very impressed with how creatively they are putting their research together. We completed all our science experiments and just need to review and test on our 2nd trimester unit on water (H2O). We are also ready to take our test on fractions. Whew! We've done a lot of work this trimester.
Conferences Are March 16 & 17
Your conference form is in the Thursday Envelope today. The time of your conference is the same as it was in the Fall. PLEASE SIGN AND RETURN. Let me know as soon as you can if the scheduled day and time will not work for you. Prior to the conference your child will do an "end of the year" reflection to take a look back at their 3rd grade year and set plans for future growth.
