7 Habits at Home: Habit 3 - Put First Things First: Stay True in the Moment of Choice.
We as human beings are hard wired to do one thing at a time with excellence. Multitasking works well for mediocrity. Some tasks in our life can be completed with a letter grade “C”. But, as an air traffic controller has laser focus and diligence to safely assist a plane to the ground, we too can choose in each moment to stay true to our big rocks. The air traffic controller sees the other planes on the radar but he or she lands one plane at a time. All the people on the plane and the pilot pray she or he stays focused on their plane during landing.
Dear Lone Star Families,
Happy Thanksgiving! We hope your family will relax some, have some fun , and create some lasting memories! My family will be on baby watch as my oldest daughter is expecting to deliver an 8-pound butterball any day!
Please take a few to read the article below prior to your gatherings. Also, links to MISD Covid tracker and LSE clinic web page. Clinic web page has several useful links. My favorite one lately is CDC: Coronavirus-What's New. It lists all the most recently posted info by date, including Thanksgiving/Holiday recommendations.
Please email me with any questions and concerns. I will be absent the week after Thanksgiving. Becky Moore, R.N. a retired school nurse from Katy ISD will be covering for me as I will be grandmothering. I will, however, be working remotely a bit between supporting sleep deprived new parents and excited older sibling.
Monica Lemke, R.N.
