Point Of View
The point of view of the story is 3rd person Omniscent because you know the thought and feeling of both characters in the story."Ulrich with a laugh, the idiotic chattering laugh of a man unstrung with hideous fear"This quote is in pg.99 and it shows that the narrator can see the fear of him and tells us about the way he laughs."and each prayed a private prayer that his men might be the first to arrive.."This shows that the narrator knows that the characters are praying and he tells us about it.
Character
The character type for the two main characters are dynamic because both of the characters change from the beginning of the story to the end because they change from hating each other to becoming friends and making up and stop the feud. Both of them Where major type of characters because they were involved in the story the whole time."we fight this quarrel out to the death ,you and i and our foresters, with no cursed interlopers to come between us..." this quote is in pg. 97 and it says that they hate each other and they want each other to be dead."I've come to think we've been rather fools;there are better things in life than getting the better of a boundary dispute.Neighbor if you will help me to bury the old quarrel,I-I will ask you to be my friend." this quote is on pg.98 and it depicts that they become friends at the end and they end the quarrel.
