IU 7 School Counselor Update

for SCs living and working in Westmoreland County

What's happening!

Welcome back to a new school year! The new school year parallels a new year for PSCA with many new happenings within the Association. We are excited to tell you about some of the things that are currently “in the works”:

  • PSCA is developing a brand-new, enhanced website that will be easier to navigate with more resources available in the “PSCA Members Only” section for PSCA. We’re hoping for a “launch by the end of September. In the meantime, all information will be posted to the current website and moved to the new website when finalized. The web address will remain the same: www. psca-web.org.

  • The final version of the School Counselor Rubrics and Guiding Questions have been released by PDE. Check out the PSCA website for a direct link to those!

  • PSCA Is also developing tools to help you and your administrators/evaluators use these rubrics in the new school counselor evaluation. These will be available in the “Members Only” section of the PSCA website.
