Free and Reduced Meal Applications - Anyone can Apply.

We highly encourage Parent/Guardians to please fill out the Free and Reduced Application online at to apply for free or reduced meal status. if you are unable to complete online, call (319) 828-4510 to have a paper form mailed to you.

There is additional relief available to eligible families in the form of a Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) card. Through P-EBT, eligible school children receive temporary emergency nutrition benefits loaded on EBT cards that are used to purchase food. In order to be eligible, the form must be filled out.

Grab and Go Meal Pick Up For Virtual Learners

This sign up is for the WEEK of April 12 (DUE BY SUNDAY April 11 @ 9PM).

Is Your Child a Virtual Learner?

Whether your child is in a virtual learning model or temporarily learning online due to illness, quarantine, etc., families may sign up for the Grab and Go Meals and pick them up following the sign-up instructions on the survey link.


Reminder: Please arrive with your mask on between 8:00 am and 8:15 am to pick-up meals at the building you specified on the sign-up. If you cannot make it, please contact Debbie Klein at

Johnson County Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa Area Board seeks input from parents, community partners

Johnson County, Iowa - The Johnson County Empowerment/Early Childhood Iowa Area Board is gathering feedback from stakeholders (parents, caregivers, individuals, programs, systems) involved with supporting Johnson County children aged 0-5 and pregnant individuals. This feedback will inform our Community and Strategic Plans and help determine priorities for Early Childhood Iowa funding in our county.

Parents of Johnson County children aged 0-5 and pregnant individuals are encouraged to complete a parent survey at

or request a paper survey, which is available in English, Spanish, Arabic or French. Those who complete the survey will receive a free children’s book.

Providers, programs, systems and community members who support families of children aged 0-5, pregnant individuals and/or children aged 0-5 are encouraged to complete a provider survey at or request a paper survey.
