Click on this link to see the Oasis Charter Schools systemwide summary of the positive cases of COVID19, as well as the number of students who were required to quarantine. There is an option to view the statistics of each school by itself. There is also a brief video clip to show how to navigate the data. Please note, this dashboard will not instantly update when there is a new case, as there may be a delay in posting the latest numbers.

Who’s ready to have some fun with STEM?

As part of our system’s efforts to increase STEM opportunities for all students, we would like to invite all families with students in grades K-8 to participate in a home STEM bingo game. Engaging in STEM and design thinking activities has shown to have tremendous impact in increasing students’ understanding of critical thinking, problem solving, and creative thinking.

Over the next two months, we invite you to work as a family to complete any five (or more!) challenges from the bingo cards below.

STEM Bingo

The five challenges you work on do not have to be done in a row on the card, simply choose the five your family is most interested in completing.

When you are done, please complete this Google Form with information on the challenges you completed and photos showing your family working together on these tasks. Please complete the form by Monday, January 4.

All students who complete this challenge and submit photos through the Google Form above will receive a laser engraved keepsake from the OMS Gator Garage Makerspace.

We hope you have fun as a family with this challenge. We can not wait to see all the great solutions you come up with!

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. John Omundsen via email at john.omundsen@capecharterschools.org

Second Quarter Instructional Model Changes

Families requesting changes between Home Connect and Face to Face will be notified this week of the teacher assignments. The notification will also include information on making a smooth transition. In some cases, on grade levels where we added a Face to Face teacher, students remaining in Home Connect will be assigned to the remaining Home Connect teacher if their teacher is switching to Face to Face.

Dash Pass

Recently, you might have gotten communication from a company called DashPash to set up your account. Dash Pass is an automated car line system we are working on setting up for our school. The email you may have received is just a preliminary request on behalf of the company to register your account.

Please complete this form to add an additional contact to your student's Dash Pass account.

This will not be an instantaneous process. Once you complete this form, Ms. Abes will verify that the name is already listed on your emergency contact form, add them to the database and then send the database to DashPass.

If you did not receive an original email from DashPass, please check your spam or junk folder. If the email is still not found please complete this form.

This form will close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Once we have finalized accounts and have a sound plan for implementation we will start utilizing this program. Our target date is tentatively December 7th. As we get closer to implementation, more information will be sent to you. Until further notice, please continue to use OES.dismissalchanges@oasishs.org
