The Magic is in You
By Colin Hosten and Brook Vitale
When the world around you seems intimidating and dangerous, just remember...
The magic is in you...to spread love and inspire others.
When life gets so complicated you don't know what to do next, it's ok to cry. Just remember...
The magic is in you...to honor your feelings and trust your inner voice.
Sometimes life comes at you so fast that all you can do is run. Just remember...
The magic is in you...to confront your challenges and discover your strengths.
When the future seems uncertain and you don't know where to go next, just remember...
The magic is in you...to persevere and achieve your dreams.
When relationships are tested by trials and tribulations, just remember...
The magic is in you...to reveal the power of true friendship.
Growing up can sometimes make you feel awkward and alone. Just remember...
The magic is in you...to celebrate yourself and soar.
It's hard to leave the past behind. Just remember...
The magic is in you...to embrace a future of beautiful memories.
Above all, when your dreams seem out of reach, just remember...
THE MAGIC IS IN YOU TO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE.

PTO Election News
To those interested in the Northwood Middle School PTO elections:
We are having our final meeting of the school year on Monday 6/3/19 at 6pm at Coleman’s (823 Lake Ave). We will have a wrap up meeting and then hold elections for PTO officers for the 2019-2020 school year. The elected officer positions include: President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Anyone interested in a position can nominate themselves by notifying Kelly Udelhofen (Board Secretary) at kudelhofen@wcusd200.org. The new Officers start July 1st 2019 and all positions are 1 year terms. Here’s a summary of the duties for each position. President: Presides over all meetings, prepares and agenda for meetings, sets dates for PTO events, represents PTO at D200 or community meetings. 1st VP: In absence of President, will assume their responsibilities, oversees fundraising. 2nd VP: Coordinator for volunteers, seeks new members. Treasurer: In charge of funds, shall provide financial statements at monthly meetings. Secretary: Keeps meeting minutes, handles PTO correspondence.
Besides the elected officers, there are committee chairpersons that are approved by the officers. These committees include: 8th Grade Dance, Spiritwear, Staff Appreciation Coordinator, and others. Monthly meeting days and times will be decided by the new Officers. Nominations are open now and will continue until the election on 6/3/19. Nominees are not required to be at the election meeting, as long as they have consented to their nomination ahead of time.
A note from the library!
All library books were due May 17th. Please help your children remember to return their library books before they leave for summer. Thank you!
Also, ALL chromebooks, chargers and cases need to be turned in. Please double check with your student that they have turned in their items and that they don't have any items loaned out from the library either!
