What is rabies?
Rabies is a disease transmitted from animal to human through the saliva of the animal. Most commonly through a bite. If you are bitten by an animal with rabies you would experience madness and convulsions.

6. Mental confusion
How can rabies be prevented?
Rabies is a disease that can more easily be seen through actions than most communicable diseases. Some ways to notice/ prevent rabies are avoidance of any animal- wild, farm, pet- that you are not familiar with. Report any animal that behaves oddly to your local animal control office. Make sure that your animals/ pets are inoculated against rabies and that their all shots are up to date. In some cases neutering your pet would be the best choice in order to prevent any unwanted or stray animals in your community.
Where in the world is rabies most common?
Although rabies can be found anywhere in the world, it is most commonly found in developing countries. Places such as Africa, Asia, India, Indonesia and Central and South America are where rabies is the most common.
