In Mesopotamia Mesopotamians grew lots of crops to live. Farming brought people together. When the start of the season came everyone came together with there crops.
Metal-Smithing
The Sumerians develop the use bronze for making tools. Bronze was stronger than rock ,wood, and copper. Metal weapons increased military strength in Mesopotamia.
Slavery
Slavery was two different forms in Mesopotamia. Free forced labor with which ancient cities were built. Much akin to slavery in North America during the 17th and 18 centuries. They were used as domestics, concubines, and as labor in building or public works projects.
Demestication OF Animals
Sheep were very important and provided wool, meat, dairy products and fertilizer and were valuable sacrifices in religious cerimonies. Cattle were used for food sacrifices.
Inventions-the wheel, the sail, and the plow
The Sumerians first invented the wheel. They connected the wheels to chariots. It got them places quickly
sailboats: Mesopotamians built the sailboat. They cast their net in the river to catch more fish.
plow: A man used animal power for the first plow. The plow was called the Ard.
