We have started collecting spare change as a school for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All the money we collect will go towards research for kids in North Carolina who suffer from these diseases. This is how Atkinson is practicing the "A" in our PAWS. "A" is for always kind.
We will be going to see a play on Thursday the 13th at the Flat Rock Playhouse on Main. We will be seeing Charlotte's Web.

A Note From Mrs. Arrowood about Math!
We have moved the time for our weekly multiplication quizzes to 11 minutes for the month of March. Our goal is to be able to answer 100 multiplication problems in 8 minutes by May! We are well on our way! It is still important to practice math facts on a regular basis!
We have also started taking weekly division facts quizzes. This will help with fractions! Make sure your student is studying multiplication and division facts regularly.
We have been studying Fractions since January and will be wrapping up our unit on Fractions this month. Its been a long haul but we are almost to the end of this long unit.
After Fractions will will begin our end of the year review to prepare us for the EOG. I have told the kids that this is the time for questions! If you see that your child is struggling with anything, please let me know! Thanks.
