Gifford Mayhan Honored by MH Family
Gifford was one of the first employees the board hired. He wore many hats, including being in charge of the bus garage and buses. He drove a bus route for many years and maintained the overall condition of the school buildings. Gifford worked in the cafeteria and assisted Dr. Sewell with the campaign videos.
His three children, Jerry, Fay and Kay, all graduated from MH along with several children and great-grandchildren.
Thank you, Mr. Mayhan, for your dedication to our school and your life of service.
Seniors Paint the Town Pink
Synopsis: Principal Clark (Ridge Allen), young and experimental, decides it will promote understanding and cooperation if the faculty and the student body trade places for a day. What a day that turns out to be! Christy (Ellen Davenport) is almost certain the paint to be used on the conference room was No. 32 and not 23. So she insists, and the dubious painter paints the room "passionate pink" instead of "dove gray." The faculty is not to be outdone. They've endured a lot and it's time for the payoff!
