2022-2023 Zone Variances and Change of School Placement.

The Board of School Trustees approved revisions to District Policy and Regulation 5112, Change of School Assignment (COSA) on September 23, 2021. These revisions are effective for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year, including the replacement of the zone variance process with COSA and the elimination of open enrollment, minority-to-majority, select school enrollment, and residential affidavits. If you are a 6th grader currently attending K.O. on a zone variance, you MUST apply via the It's Your Choice webpage in order to be put in the lottery to retain your seat. PLEASE NOTE: as zone variances will now be determined by lottery, you are not guaranteed a return seat for the 2022-2023 school year. The deadline to apply is 1/11/2022. If you miss this deadline, you will return to your zoned school.

Please see the information below for more details.

In celebration of our 60th Anniversary, we are going to hold a weekly "K.O. Trivia Challenge"! Let's see how much you really know about K.O.!

Here is the answer to last week's trivia question,

"What sport did K.O. Knudson practice twice a week?"

With all his activities, K.O. Knudson kept in top physical form by bowling twice a week.

Instead of a trivia question, this week we're going to share what

the front of K.O. Knudson looked like in 1976. Check out the image below!
