Krimmel Knights
Newsletter: August 19, 2018
We are so excited to have all of our Krimmel Knights back in the building! We will see everyone on Monday, August 20th for the 1st day of school. The 2018-2019 school year is going to be the best one yet for our Krimmel Knights.
Transportation Info/First Day of School
For safety reasons...students are never allowed to be dropped off or picked up in the back of the building. This is designated for bus transportation.
On the first day of school, ALL students are given a new yellow copy of their schedule that they will show to all of their teachers throughout the day.
Bus:
Click HERE to learn more about bus routes. To review changes in bus transportation for the 2018-19 school year, click HERE.
Bus riders will enter the doors by the cafeteria and will sit at the cafeteria tables until they are dismissed to first period.
Bus routes run anywhere from 15-20 minutes later than normal the first few days of school as kinks get worked out, so please be patient and don't panic.
Carpool:
If your student will be a car rider, we encourage carpooling as much as possible to help alleviate traffic. Students are NOT allowed to walk into the parking lot to meet their cars for safety reasons, so please do not ask them to do so. We will load 12-15 cars at one time and if your child is not ready to get in your car if you're in a group, you will be asked to pull around and make another loop until your child is out or paying attention. Our goal is to get students in their car as safely and quickly as possible as we know everyone is in a hurry!
Student Entrance:
Carpool riders will enter in the main entrance. 6th grade will report to the gym and all 7th and 8th will report to the cafeteria. Students eating breakfast may go straight to the cafeteria.
Bus riders will enter through the cafeteria doors as they get off of their bus.
1st Day of School Schedule:
Students may enter the building starting at 8:20 am. Any students needing to eat breakfast will report to the cafeteria.
6th graders will report to the gym to pick up a new yellow schedule.
7th and 8th graders will report to the cafeteria to pick up a new yellow schedule.
(6th Grade parents can escort their children to the gym, but space will be very limited and you will need to stop at the front office to get a Visitor Badge. Most parents let their kiddos ride the bus or walk in on their own because we will take excellent care of your children and get them where they need to be on the first day.)
