PRAY FOR SCC MISSIONS
If you are receiving this newsletter then you desire to see Sanibel Community Church help spread the Gospel of Christ both locally and globally. We are asking that you pray for our world and local mission partners in the field, for the budget planning for 2015, and for strength in the missions ministry. Thank you, church, for being such a vital part of all that is happening with this ministry!

H2O in Staten Island
A word from Pastor Kevin......
"Fifty of our students and leaders from Sanibel Community Church ministered over two different weeks in Staten Island, New York (July 5-19). We worked alongside New Hope Community Church as we ran their summer program VBS day camp. We also engaged in door to door evangelism in the housing projects across the street. We were able to see several place their trust in Christ and get connected to the church. God was mightily at work while we were there! Thank you all for your prayers and support while we were there." Check out the pictures.

Food Pack Project
On Saturday, November 22, SCC Missions will host another Food Packaging Project. Partnering with Meals of Hope, this is an opportunity for our congregation and community to come together for 2 hours (9:00am-11:00am) to produce over 50,000 meals for the hungry in Ft Myers. Look for more information during our Oct/Nov Special Missions Offering videos.
Guatemala Missions Trip?
Last summer over 15 men partnered with the Claypools with Give and Teach. We worked in three teams to build chicken coops as a sustainable income option for several villages. There has been some interest in putting together another trip to Guatemala (possibly doing a different project). This trip is a great option for men and women who would like to go on a short trip with comfortable housing. For more information about a Fall trip please contact Pastor Brad.
AUGUST/SEPTEMBER SPECIAL MISSIONS OFFERING
The Owen Family has served over 10 years in the missions field on the cutting edge of cross-cultural Bible translation through Pioneer Bible Translators. After completing a translation of the Gospel of Mark for the Somau Garia people in Papua New Guinea in 2007, they journeyed back to the States for respite and re-strategizing. Now the Lord is calling them back to the field, and Papua New Guinea specifically, to continue in the work of translation. Over the past few years, the Owens have become heavily involved in the ministries here at SCC including the prayer team, missionary care, the missions team, Logos, and more. Watch their story below and prayerfully consider launching them back into full-time ministry through your financial gift to the August/September Special Missions Offering.
