The Pershing Elementary Newsletter

Principal Message

Good Evening Pershing Families,

Happy New Year! As we near the middle of the school year, this is a great opportunity to reflect on our progress, set new goals and adjust our efforts. I shared a welcome back letter with students in the student materials that are available for pick-up tomorrow. Parents, for our students who are not quite independent readers just yet, please share this letter with your child.

January 6th, TOMORROW, Student Materials Pick-Up & The Golden Ticket!

We have randomly placed 24 Golden Tickets into student materials for the material pick-up, which takes place tomorrow, January 6th. In each class there will be one winner and there will be one student who will win the Big Prize! Students can only win if they pick-up materials on January 6th, so be sure to make time to pick-up your materials on the distribution date! To help provide flexibility, pick-up hours begin at 7a.m. and end at 5:30p.m. Check your materials before you leave because you may be a winner! The tickets are bright, bright yellow!

PICTURES FOR THE YEARBOOK:

Tomorrow, January 6th, our PTO will be taking pictures of students and staff (waist up) if students come to materials pick-up. Get fancy, dress up and wear a mask! Masks will only be off very briefly for the photo. Pictures will be taken outside near the materials pick-up door under cover of the breezeway, socially distanced and non-contact, rain or shine!

If you or anyone in your household are not feeling well, have symptoms, or you or someone you have been exposed to has COVID, DO NOT COME TO CAMPUS. If you have recently been tested for COVID and are waiting on results, DO NOT COME TO CAMPUS. Instead, please contact our school office for support and we will work with you to get the student materials to your child. We will also work with you to get pictures taken on another date.
