Healthy Eating Tuesday Tips - Outdoor Party Ideas

Don't loose track this holiday weekend! It is grilling season!

At my house we grill everything on the patio in the summer and entertain friends and family often by out pool. Grilling is so healthy, I do it year round! Our go to for a crowd is fajitas. They can be very healthy. Grilled beef or chicken on a corn tortilla with onions, peppers, Greek yogurt, homemade pico de gallo and guacamole! Yummy!

2 of my favorite "out of the box" things to grill are avocados and okra. With the avocados, I just cut them in half, spray them lightly with a little EVOO and sprinkle with garlic pepper. Place cut side down on the grill until lightly brown. With the okra, I just wash it, let it dry on a towel for a few minutes. Then, put it in a ziplock bag, sprinkle with seasoning and shake. Grill it until soft and a little brown on one side.

Grilled fruit also makes a wonderful healthy desert! Pineapple, peaches or apples with some honey or cinnamon.
