Please Welcome Shauna Lindbeck our new Assistant Principal
Hello! I am Mrs. Shauna Lindbeck and I am writing to introduce myself to the school community. I am very excited to join the team and serve the Madonna Catholic School as Assistant Principal and grade four teacher. I have been an educator for 21 years and I have taught a number of courses from grades 5 to 8 over that time. I have had so many blessings as a teacher, where I have had the opportunity to learn and grow in my professional practice. I eagerly began my teaching career in Fort Saskatchewan as a grade five teacher at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School. After a few years, I began teaching grade 6 at Our Lady of the Angels. I enjoyed teaching grade six for several years before accepting a position as the Inclusive Learning Facilitator and School Counsellor at Our Lady of the Angels. In 2015, I became the Assistant Principal at Our Lady of the Angels. This past year, I have loved teaching at St. John Paul II Catholic Middle School in Fort Saskatchewan, where I was the Assistant Principal and physical education teacher for grade 7 and grade 8 students. I believe students learn best when they have a positive relationship with their teacher, feel supported and challenged in their learning, and when they are highly engaged in lessons.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in St. Albert where I am a member of Holy Family Parish. I enjoy volunteering as a lector for masses and my Catholic faith and values are very much a part of my life.
I am very excited to join the Madonna Catholic School community and to get to know our students, staff, and parents. I appreciate the warm welcome I have received in my first few visits to the school.
Yours in Catholic Education
Shauna Lindbeck

How to use Google tools to support your EICS student
Did you know your child, as an EICS student, has access to G Suite for Education? These tools allow students to access, share, and create knowledge that supports their learning. On Feb. 28 from 7:00-8: 30 pm, come to learn what Google for Education tools your child has access to and explore how to use those tools to support them at home. This session is for all learners, whether you are a beginner or have experience with technology.
There are limited spaces so please register here or go to http://bit.ly/EICSGoogleTools
Please come with your child's EICS login information (if you don't know how to access this please ask your child or your child's teacher). If you don't have this, we will have alternative logins so all participants can participate.
