Break the Silence

Empowering Women and Educating Men

all about my project

My name is Jonelle P., and I'm a senior in the Legal Studies Academy at First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a graduation requirement, I completed a research paper on the adverse effects, and possible solutions of violence against women. For the second part of my project, I will be hosting a seminar. Violence against women is an issue that directly affects me, and so many women around me. Young women, like myself, are frequently targeted by acts of violence that range from sexual assault to stalking. It's an issue that needs to be addressed for men and women alike, and I intend to bring awareness to this important issue. Please join me in openly advocating for women's rights and safety, and spreading useful information.
