Each team is guaranteed 4 games
Each Team will be placed in a pool, The top 2 teams to come out of each pool advance to the playoff bracket
The games will be 2 20 minute halves (Running Clock)
There will be 1 Time out granted per Game
ANC Head Basketball Coach- Kevin Givens
Kevin Givens is the current head coach of the Academy of the New Church He attended the Academy for one year and won a basketball championship, while scoring 568 points in one season. After graduation, he went on to play division I basketball at West Chester University. He was the ECAC rookie of the year and placed in the top ten in scoring percentage and rebounding in the country. He also was a two time All American who led WCU to the division II tournament in his junior year. He is still the all time leading scorer at WCU (2.054 points). After graduation Givens went on to play pro basketball overseas for four seasons. He also played for the Wildwood Aces of the USBL basketball league. Once he retired from playing he took that same passion for the game to the sidelines and has coached at his alma mater for the past 20 seasons, winning 5 league championships and 2 state titles. In 2008 his team was ranked as high as 13th in the country. Also during that same season ANC went up to North Jersey and defeated the number one team in the country (St, Benedict's), who had three players who are currently in the NBA. In 2010 they repeated that same feat by beating number one ranked Findlay Prep. Coach Givens name is synonymous with hard work, dedication, and winning. He has established himself as one of this area's finest coaches.
ANC Assistant Basketball Coach- Jeff Lites
Coach Lites is a Philadelphia native who played his high school ball at Overbrook High school. Coach Lites was a member of a team at Overbrook that went 30-0 and finished that season winning the city basketball championship. He completed his high school career at Franklin Learning Center. Coach Lites passed on scholarship offers from Indiana University of Pa. and Winston-Salem State and began coaching on the AAU circuit for several teams. He also helped develop young players at the Howard Evans basketball camp for several years. Recently coach Lites has united forces with his childhood friend and former teammate Kevin Givens. Lites is the varsity assistant basketball coach and the head coach of the JV basketball team at the Academy. Lites brings a wealth of passion and basketball knowledge to ANC. He is an excellent role model, mentor, and teacher of young people.
