A Few Notes From The Editor: Mrs. Scheperle

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I know I did!

- A note came home today about Gingerbread Day. This will be on Dec. 11th at 2:45. Drop me an e-mail or a note if you plan to come! All parents are welcome!

-Our Miller center trip is scheduled for Dec. 10th. Please return your child's permission slip if you have not already done so.

-Dec. 22nd will be our Polar Express Day. Your child may wear pajamas to school. School dismisses at 1:30 that day.

Homework: Help your child learn how to tie their shoes.

In Other News

Reading: We will discuss the elements that make up a story. We will also compare and contrast similar stories.

Phonics: We will focus on beginning letter sounds and rhyming words.

Writing: We continue to work on writing about one small moment in time. This helps us narrow our stories down to specific moments.

Math: We will discuss the parts of a clock and how to tell time to the hour.

Science/Social Studies: We will discuss different Christmas traditions from around the world.

Upcoming Events

-Miller center trip is Dec. 10th.

-Gingerbread day is Dec. 11th at 2:45.

-Polar Express day is Dec. 22nd. Wear pajamas.

-School will dismiss at 1:30 on Dec. 22nd.

-There is no school Dec. 23-Jan 4. School resumes Jan. 5th

Items Needed (if you are able to donate)

- We really need snacks if you are able to help out! :) If I had a few more we will make it through Dec. (I discontinue snack after Dec.)

-red and white pony beads. (Hobby Lobby usually carries these.)
