The school day will end at 12:01pm. NO LUNCH will be served. The YMCA Before & After School program will run the usual hours, even on half day professional days.
Please make sure your child’s teacher is aware of their dismissal plans.
Thank you for making note of this on your calendar!
End of the 1st Quarter
Today marks the end of the first quarter grading period. While there are not official mid-term reports at the elementary level, this is a good time to review your child’s progress through Skyward as we are half-way through the grading period. Please note that especially at the primary level, much of the first quarter is spent on informal, formative assessment so there may not be many “grades” recorded at this time. As always, please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about your child’s progress. Thank you for the support you provide at home.
We have a large number of students who are arriving through the car rider line this year and appreciate everyone’s assistance with procedures to keep students safe. Students may be released from cars beginning at 8:40 when a staff member comes outside to signal arrival. Prior to this time there are not staff members available to supervise students. Students are to be dropped off directly in front of the school’s front doors and should exit from the passenger side, or curb side, of the vehicles. It is imperative cars remain in a single line along the curb. Please use extreme caution in our parking lot and do not attempt to pass cars dropping off students. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our children safe.
Sign In Procedures
As a reminder the sign in procedure at Harrison Parkway includes signing your child in or out using a computer. If you are signing your child out of school, please have your driver's license with you, as you will need it to complete the sign-out process.
Attendance Line Voicemail
If your child will be absent from school, please call the HPE Attendance Line by 9:00 a.m. at 915-4210. If you know in advance that your child will be absent, you may call the attendance line's voicemail anytime and leave a message. If you know your student will be absent for more than two school days for any reason other than illness, we ask that you complete a Prearranged Absence Form (available in the HPE office) at least one week prior to the absence.
Student attendance at HPE is vitally important. Please make every attempt possible to plan appointments and vacations outside of school hours. Regular attendance improves student performance and is expected as an integral part of our state mandated School Improvement Plan.

If you have not done so already, please remember to complete the Online Student Health Information in Skyward (this replaces the green colored health cards that were used last year). Library to Host National Library Card Sign-up Event
September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month and your library is celebrating! Hamilton East Public Library has chosen September 10th as a day to acknowledge current card holders and encourage others to add priceless value to their wallets by signing up for their very own library card. Join in the excitement by stopping in either the Fishers Library or Noblesville Library, or catch them as they hit the road at various stops near you.
On that day, at each library location, those who sign up for new cards or renew their existing cards will receive goodie bags. (Hurry in, while supplies last!) Library visitors will also be treated to demonstrations, tours, prizes, and more.
