St. Nicholas Came to Visit!!

December 6th was the Feast Day of St Nicholas. Our students, after learning about the German tradition of leaving shoes out for St. Nicholas, left one shoe out in front of their classrooms. They were excited to find that, in fact, he did come to visit and left some yummy candy. Our Service Club "Elves" helped St. Nick fill the shoes.

December 16th-- 2nd Sunday of Advent

Yesterday, December 8th, marked the second Sunday of Advent. We lit the second candle of our School Advent Wreath this morning. As I mentioned last week, the Advent wreath is a big tradition in my house. I have loved sharing this tradition with my nephews. My youngest nephew was so exited to light the 2nd candle yesterday. He must have asked me twenty times if this is the day we light the second candle.

I have attached an Advent calendar for this week with some daily reminders, activities and prayers to do with your children.
