I am so excited to let you know that the district has concreted our patio area and we have been able to place our legacy bricks in the courtyard! You are more than welcome to come take a look if you would like, just please check in the front office. There are a limited number of bricks left that you can leave a legacy on so make sure that you order one ASAP!

Deadline to Guarantee a Yearbook

Deadline to guarantee a yearbook is March 1!!!

If you want to guarantee your son/daughter receive their 2018-2020 WoodCreek Yearbook, your order must be received by March 1. Any orders received between March 2-April 1 will not be guaranteed a yearbook, so place your order now!

ID Sweeps

We have seen an increase of students taking off their IDs in in the middle of the day. Remember they must be on and visible at all times. We will begin doing ID sweeps starting next week and assigning a detention for those that do not have their ID or a temporary ID on. We want to keep our campus as safe as possible and we need to be able to identify all students at all times. Thanks so much for your help to keep our students safe!

The Office of GT/AAS will be hosting a parent information night in Spanish providing information about PreAP/Advanced Placement opportunities for students at the high school level.

This meeting will be held

at the ESC in Rooms 1200 BCG on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 7:00PM-8:00PM.

Dear Adams Junior High School Families,

Please join us as we organize the Adams Jr High PTA on Wednesday, March 20th, from 6:00-7:00 PM in the 9th grade commons at Seven Lakes High School. The meeting will be facilitated by a representative of Texas PTA who will lead us in the creation of the bylaws, budget, collection of memberships and election of officers. Membership dues will be decided in the bylaws process and should be similar to the amount paid at other secondary campuses. (Cash or check acceptable)

Also you will have an opportunity to meet a few of our staff members we have hired.

Watch DOGS Donuts with Dad

SAVE THE DATE: Friday Feb. 22, 7-8 AM.

All Dads, Granddads and Father Figures! Donuts with Dad is a Watch DOGS event that helps refresh interest and recruit new DOGS while grabbing a cup of Joe, some OJ and some donuts with your son or daughter. We'll share info about how you can get signed up, buy your t-shirt, and join us for a day or two. New or seasoned? Doesn't matter, all are welcome. RSVP at the attached link and come see what it is all about.

Following the Donuts, why not make a day of it. We will have our February ALL CALL for anyone that wants to stay and Watch DOG that day.


PTA Nomination for 2019-2020

The WCJH Nominating Committee is conducting a search to find parents who would like to assume a leadership role on our 2019-2020 PTA Executive Board and make a difference!

The Nominating Committee is interested in your suggestions for officer candidates to serve for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a great way to make an invaluable contribution to the children at WoodCreek Junior High.

There are many different positions available, so please consider serving on the Board.

If you or someone you know is interested in serving in one of our officer positions listed in this document, please fill out this form and return it by Thursday, February 28th, 2019. Feel free to make as many nominations as you wish. Be sure to nominate only those who have given their consent to serve if elected.

All nominees being considered for office must be PTA members in good standing. The committee will contact all nominees. Voting will be held at the PTA General Meeting on March 21, 2019.

Please refer to our website www.WCJHPTA.com for a complete list of officer, board, and committee chair positions, descriptions, and duties. Please use these forms to make your nomination(s) and to circle any committees you would be interested in serving on or chairing.

The State of Texas requires specific immunizations for all 7th graders. The vaccines required, are the TDaP Booster, Meningococcal (1 dose AFTER age 10) and Varicella (2 doses). You will receive a notification, in the mail, if your student needs any vaccinations. Students must have these vaccinations (or Reasons of Conscience) before the start of 7th grade.

WCJH Mandatory Cheer Parent Meeting

Attention all 6th and 7th graders who are interested in trying out for WoodCreek Junior High cheer or mascot. There is a mandatory parent meeting on February 21st @ 6pm in the WoodCreek Junior High cafeteria. Both parent and candidate must attend to be eligible to try out. If you are unable to make the parent meeting, you must have a parent contact Coach Gerdes by February 18th.

If you will be attending the new junior high, Adams Junior High, and are interested in trying out for cheer or mascot, you will attend the Seven Lakes Junior High meeting and clinic. Students attending Adams Junior High next year must attend a mandatory parent meeting on March 7th @ 6pm at Seven Lakes Junior High.

Lost and Found

Click the red link below for clothing lost and found items, these items only are in the front office by the PTA desk. All lunch boxes, water bottles, shoes, school supplies, and other clothing items will be stored in the cafeteria. Students can check upfront with Ms. Jen for lost and found electronics.

Clothing items will be photographed and displayed on the lost and found link on a 2 week cycle. Clothing items can be claimed in the front office by the PTA desk.

All ITEMS are DONATED EVERY 2 weeks.

Don't forget to put your name on items that you bring to school!
