AP Exams And Alternate Dates
As you know, the College Board has given us options as a school to register for alternate exam dates. Most of the AP exams now have an alternate exam date option. Please check your school email for an email and attachment you received last week form Mr. Baxter. If there is a date next to the highlighted exam, this is now an option for SVHS students. To request the alternate exam dates, log into your Total Registration account and click on "Request Alternate Date for Exam" at the bottom of the screen. There is no additional fee if you choose the alternate date, and your request to change the date will be automatically approved.
A few exams do not have an alternate exam date option and must be taken on the date currently assigned. Those exams are Calc AB and BC, Chemistry, Physics, and Statistics.
Contact Mr. Baxter if you have any questions.
Senior Shout Outs!
Hello Class of 2021! We want to celebrate YOU with a Simi Valley Senior Shout Out.
A Senior Shout Out is a social media post that honors your accomplishments during high school and commemorates your post-graduation decision. This post will be shared on social media, on your high school's website and possibly with local media outlets (such as local TV news stations) for your family and friends to celebrate you!
To be featured in this congratulatory message, all you have to do is fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/gaXLDa5WxqAqBM7X6.
The Google Form will ask you to:
1. Select your favorite slide for your Shout Out and delete the remaining options. (Make sure you pick the slide for the school you attend.)
2. Type your future plans after graduation (work force, college, military, trade school, etc.) or type your proudest or greatest moment in high school.
3. Type your FULL name (it will depend on the slide you choose).
4. Insert your favorite picture. The picture MUST be school appropriate and should only show you, no additional people in the picture. Your senior portrait will work great, but you can choose something else as long as the picture is clear (not pixelated), was taken in the last year, and is appropriate.
Attach your completed slide into the Google Form and Submit. All Senior Shout Outs will be posted during April, May, and possibly June on social media and your high school's website.
If you have any question, please contact: College & Career Center, Mrs. Jen Gast (email@example.com)

SVHS Virtual Student Art Gallery
This month, our Gallery prompt is in collaboration with the Simi Valley Virtual Arts Center’s Multicultural Festival, an online festival and celebration to recognize the diverse backgrounds that make up our community. Create an art piece showcasing something from your culture or heritage. In the description, let us know what your creation represents and what it means to you. This month, all SVUSD students are encouraged to participate. Please list your SCHOOL and GRADE LEVEL in your post! Each user can upload up to 4 pieces this month.
The SVHS Virtual Student Art Gallery is a public Padlet wall where students can express themselves and practice self care through visual art. Creating art is a great way to relax, manage stress, and boost your confidence, especially now during the pandemic. The purpose of this page is to promote wellness and help students connect with each other online by creating and viewing art together. Each month, a prompt will be posted to inspire and guide students’ creations. Students will have a whole month to upload an image of their work to the Padlet wall for each prompt. You don’t have to be an artist to participate- the purpose of this page is to create, share, and view art for fun.
The Padlet wall can be accessed here: https://padlet.com/suzob/hk84px8ok2wylf3b
