NOTIFICATION TO PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND STAFF OF A PESTICIDE APPLICATION
Montgomery County Public Schools Integrated Pest Management procedures, such as inspections and monitoring, are used to determine when to control pests and to identify conditions contributing to pest problems. The necessity for pest control, if warranted, is evaluated and one or more pest control methods including sanitation, structural repair, non-chemical methods and pesticides is utilized as a last resort, when all others have been exhausted. Problem areas are identified where alternative pest control technologies can be incorporated in order to eliminate routine pesticide applications. It has been determined that a current pest problem warrants the use of a pesticide to effectively control the pest problem.
