The Spring Semester has started!

I trust that everyone had a great first week back, and I hope you all are adjusting to the routine again. Thank you for the invitations to see you in action last week......keep them coming! I saw fantastic warm up activities, engaging games, and solid direct instruction across a multitude of departments.

On Tuesday, the ILT (Instructional Leadership Team) will be in classrooms during first period to observe how classes are started. This is non evaluative in nature, so there will be no feedback provided to individual teachers. We are simply identifying best practices for our campus.

Wednesday, the MISD Curriculum and Instruction Content Coordinators will be conducting campus walks with the Admin team. It is always a pleasure to show off the great instruction you guys do and receiving outside feedback that will support the instructional practices on our campus.

Articles of Note

Thought of the week

If kids come to us from strong, healthy functioning families, it makes our job easier. If they do not come to us from strong, healthy functioning families, it makes our job more important.

I know we have some students that challenge us from the word GO. But, have you ever considered that we may be the BEST thing to happen to them in a long time?
