LAST WEEK'S ADVENTURES
On Monday we had so much fun with lots of musical visitors! We started the day with a parent demonstration on the snare drum. Then the Folks Middle School band joined us to perform some of our favorite songs. We got to listen to them perform, clap and even sing along!
What a Terrific Tuesday! We had fun making and eating our bean and cheese tacos!
Work Together Wednesday
While working together on Wednesday, we all had the chance to collaborate and build. Together we came up with some really fun forts! Some of our forts were even big enough to crawl inside, jump over, and we even eat our snacks within!
On Thursday we explored making animal tracks. We all had the opportunity to make our different dinosaurs "walk" through our paints and onto our large paper. The tracks were something that the children really seemed to enjoy exploring.
Closing-out our Week of the Young Child, we focused on discussing our families. The students were really excited about drawing their family portraits, labeling them, and then sharing them with the group. Parents, siblings, and pets were all included in our family drawings and group discussions.
Pretend Play Outside
During outside play we LOVED exploring the different costumes and uniforms of people within our community. Some of the new additions to our outdoor play were Policeman, Fireman, Zoo-Keeper, Astronaut and even a Construction Worker costumes.
