This pit viper has especially strong venom. Just one dose can kill a full grown adult. This snake is also known for its lightning like strike which can leave a mouse upside down wiggling on the ground.

This snake like all vipers kills its foe with venom, unlike the boa who constricts its prey.

This snake is exceptionally larger then others such as the two inch flowerpot snake and can swallow a full sized mouse in a single gulp.
