Academy of Computer Science Earned Female Diversity Award!
Congratulations! Scituate High School, has earned the College Board's AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science Principles (CSP). This award acknowledges 1,127 schools for their work toward equal gender representation during the 2022-23 school year. Yours is one of only 834 schools to be recognized for achieving this important result in AP CSP.
Research shows that female students who take AP computer science are more likely to major in computer science in college compared with matched peers. Through our academy we have diversified computer science education, we are preparing our female students for the in-demand jobs of the future and giving them the opportunity to help solve some of society's most challenging problems.
Great work to our students and our Computer Science Teacher, Ms. Matisewski!

Currently, 17.4% of Scituate High School are deemed "chronically absent" which is determined as 18% of the school year. We currently rank 96th of all schools in RI for chronic absenteeism.
