P.E. CLASSES AT JEFFERSON
News and Notes from Mrs. Perry
February 2019
Welcome to "Heartsville," the town set up in the gym this week for Jefferson's Jump Rope for Heart Event! The reason for this event is to help student's learn about their heart and how important it is to take care of it, and at the same time learn the gift of giving. Students had the option of collecting donation money for the American Heart Association which in turn helps fight heart disease in our country. Students learned of a little boy named Finn that was born with a heart condition and went through 14 procedures by the time her was 2 1/2 years old. During the event in P.E. students had fun exercising by riding a turtle around the town and jumping rope. The boy and girl in the school who earn the most money in donations will get the opportunity to throw a PIE in Mrs. Perry's face! Many thanks to all those who donated!
