What's Up in the Teach World
September is Here!
Hi all,
I hope you are enjoying your extra day off this week. September is here and hopefully cooler weather is on the way.
Because this is a short week, I will start the week at Upper on Tuesday and I will be at Lower on Wednesday. The rest of the week I will be at Upper.
I have included a video about a site called NoRedInk. This site offers differentiated practice on grammar. Free teacher and student accounts are available. There is a "premium" paid edition but it is fairly cost prohibitive. I believe any teachers who are interested can find work on the free account for all grades. It may be a bit advanced for Kindergarten.

Repeated Phrases
I love, love, love using the Chrome browser, partly because there are amazing apps and extension you can use that will make your life easier. One extension that I just learned about is called Permanent Clipboard. This extension allows you to enter common phrases that you find yourself typing frequently and assigning a short name to it. When is this helpful? If you use Google Docs with your students and you comment on their work.
Creating Assignment Playlists
This article came across my facebook feed today and I thought it was a really neat idea to differentiate instruction for students. This would work really well with Google Classroom. As always, I am happy to work with you during a plan period to set up something similar.
