Falcon Friday Update-Nov 19, 2021
Olathe South High School
Principal's Corner
This week we have been celebrating American Education Week with our faculty and staff. We appreciate all the support our parents and community have provided to help in this celebration. If you haven't had a chance yet this week, I would invite you to drop a note to a teacher, counselor, support staff, custodian, bus driver, cook, coach assistant principal or school secretary that has made a positive impact on your student. It takes many hands to make Olathe South a great place for our students to learn. I am thankful to every one of our staff members who show up each day to make a difference with our students!
Our students have a long and well deserved break ahead of them next week. They have been working hard in their classes and will enjoy some down time around the holiday.
Enjoy the long week with your family. We wish everyone a restful break with safe travels!
Happy Thanksgiving!,
Dale

Seniors - shortened day
SENIORS that are interested in applying for a shortened day for the Spring semester can stop by the Counseling Office to pick up an application from Ms. Wasson. Completed applications must be returned to Student Services by 3:30 p.m. on December 3, to be considered.
Eligible seniors are those who are on track to graduate, don't need any credit recovery and pass all of their classes during this Fall semester. Students that do not meet these guidelines will not be approved. A shortened day is up to 2 hours off and can be late start, early release or a combination of both. Students involved in Spring activities can request late start only- not early release.
