Crash the Class - Monday, October 10th
Please join us at Argyle on Monday, October 10 for our open house "Crash the Class" event! We are excited to have caregivers join us from 8:15-11:30 on Monday in order to visit classrooms and experience our instructional program. Besides attending classes with your student, you can also attend the optional caregiver meetings held in the media center. There will be a 10:10 am meeting in English and a 10:50 am meeting in Spanish.
All caregivers who visit on Monday must check-in in the main office. Bring a form of identification for the check-in process.
Caregivers should use the lower lot for parking or Plaza del Mercado. If arriving after 8:30, caregivers may also use visitor parking in the upper lot.
EBB Canceled on Wednesday, October 12th
This message is to notify all students in EBB that the afterschool program will be canceled on Wednesday, October 12th.

Picture Day - Thursday, October 13 & Friday, October 14
Attention Argyle students and community,
Our 22 – 23 school year picture day is approaching this Thursday and Friday, October 13th & 14th. All students will have their pictures taken during their regularly scheduled Health or PE courses. Remember to dress your best & show your argyle pride with teal and purple.
Students will receive student IDs based on these pictures later this fall. Students will also receive picture day flyers with ordering information on Monday, October 10th.
Student Attendance
Parents or guardians should handwrite or email student excuse notes to Ms. Patricia Hernandez, Argyle's attendance secretary. Phone calls will not excuse any absences until a note has been turned in to the main office.

The Holiday Giving Project
The Holiday Giving Project has provided Thanksgiving and December holiday assistance to qualifying households for over 30 years.
If you and your family are in need and would like to be referred for possible assistance for the holiday season, please complete this referral form to provide the required information. Resources are limited: please apply only if you and your family are truly in need. While a referral is not a guarantee of assistance, the Project helps as many families in need as donations allow.

The SGA invites ALL students to attend our October 12th and October 26th meetings, after-school in room 206. Students, you want to make things happen at Argyle? Then be sure to attend an SGA meeting so your voices and ideas can be heard.

All spectators for any MCPS Athletic event are reminded of the expectation to ACT RESPECTFULLY.
Every one of us represents our school and all of Montgomery County Public Schools and we ask that you reflect on the following statement.
The core values of the MCPS athletics program teach and reinforce respect and sportsmanship, academic excellence, integrity and character, spirited and safe competition, and equity and access. It is vital that spectators support these values by showing appropriate behavior at athletic events by following these simple guidelines.

SSL Hours
Please have students submit their SSL hours from this summer. Any SSL hours earned after June 1st, 2022, should be turned into the counseling office. We encourage families to submit SSL paperwork on a rolling basis of September 23rd, 1/6/23, and 6/2/23. For more SSL information, parents can view the counseling website, Linked Here.

SNAP Application Process
COVID-19 Vaccination
Weekend school-based vaccination clinics focusing on COVID-19 vaccine for infants and younger children now include COVID-19 vaccines for other age groups. Afterschool on-site vaccine clinics will resume the week of September 5th with a focus on Title One schools.
The school will also offer at-home Rapid tests for both students and staff.

FAMILIES CAN APPLY NOW & AVOID LONGER PROCESSING TIMES IN THE FALL!
REMINDERS FOR SCHOOLS:
- Please immediately discard all application forms from previous years. As federal government information on the application changes every year, only the 2022–2023 applications may be used.
- The online application should be encouraged as the primary method to apply for FARMS. Households that complete an online application DO NOT need to submit a paper application. A small supply of 2022–2023 paper application forms in English and Spanish will be distributed to all MCPS Schools close to the first day of school. Paper applications should only be distributed to parents/guardians who request a paper application.
- Translations in other languages are available through the online application.

Montgomery County Public Schools has transitioned to a new online payment system called SchoolCash Online as its preferred method of payment for all school-related fees.
SchoolCash Online helps parents/guardians and community members pay school-related fees safely, quickly, and easily. SchoolCash Online will help increase efficiency and security at schools by making payments directly into schools’ bank accounts and eliminating the need for teachers to handle money. In addition, once registered, you will be immediately informed about school activities!
Powered by KEV Group, SchoolCash Online is the industry leader in the management of school fees. The new system puts all of the school-related fees online for purchase so users can make purchases online using a credit card or e-check. A processing fee will be included on all items available for purchase, regardless of the type of payment used on SchoolCash Online or at the school.
