Mrs. Stasney's 3rd Grade News

For the week of December 3rd

Field Trip This Week!

On Thursday, the third grade classes will be traveling to the Bush Library for a tour of the museum and a storytelling event about Benjamin Franklin's role in the change to paper money. We are scheduled to load the buses around 8:45 am. Our tour is at 9:30 and the storytelling event is at 10:30. After a restroom break, we will then board the buses for Hensel Park for a picnic lunch (weather permitting). We are scheduled to return to Bowen around 1:00 pm.

Parents are welcome to meet us at the Bush Library to join us! There is no charge for students, but adults will have to pay the group admission rate of $5.

Please make sure you have signed and returned your child's permission slip (on pink paper...went home on Wednesday last week). Please also remember to pack your child with a sack lunch if that is what you indicated on the permission slip.

If your child has a Bowen t-shirt (or another BISD shirt such as Bryan High or Rudder), please send them to school with it on for Thursday. This will help identify the children as part of our group.

The students will not be allowed to bring anything in to the museum with them, so please do not send them with cameras, money, etc. (We will not be visiting the gift shop). Other questions? Send me an email! :)

I will be incorporating some fun winter-themed activities into our days, but most of the time will be spend like our regular school days. There is still lots of learning that's going to be happening!
