The Connector
News from the Lancaster County School District, January 2023

Lancaster County Community,
Thank you, Lancaster County, for supporting our district by donating items to keep students warm! We received hundreds of sets of new gloves, socks, hats, and coats in our winter drive. Our drivers will begin distributing these items to children in need this week!
We are also thankful in this new year for the nonprofit organization, A Champion's Shoes. Some of our staff spent Tuesday afternoon sorting and wrapping 300 pairs of shoes that will go to students in our district. You can find more details below. What a great way to start the new year!
We are looking forward to all 2023 brings to our district!

LCSD Superintendent

Warming the Soul
We are grateful for our Lancaster County community! Thanks to YOU, we were able to collect hundreds of sets of new gloves, socks, hats, and coats!
Our bus drivers will be distributing these items to children in need in the weeks to come. Thank you for warming the souls of children in our district.
New Year, New Shoes
A Champion's Shoes is a nonprofit organization focused on creating champions through brand-new, brand-name shoes. The company believes "Every Child Deserves to Feel Like a Champion," and we couldn't agree more.
The company worked directly with Academy Sports to acquire the shoes and once delivered to the district, a group of district office staffers volunteered to help sort and wrap all 300 pairs. The wrapped shoes are in transport to our schools and will be picked up by parents beginning Monday.
We can't say enough positive things about A Champion's Shoes. The organization operates through donations and fundraising. For more information or to donate to this organization, click HERE to visit their website.
