Letter to SVDP Community
Dear SVDP Community,
With Mayor Breed’s most recent announcement regarding the “shelter in place” mandate, the Diocese and Department of Catholic Schools will extend our Distance Learning through May 1, with a hopeful return to the SVDP campus on May 4.
Our Easter Break will begin on Holy Thursday, April 9 (see Holy Week schedule below), and we will return to our Distance Learning environment on Monday, April 20. Under the best of circumstances, returning to school after a break can be challenging. We are sure that returning to our Distance Learning environment will present issues in your homes and our virtual classrooms.
To help us prepare for your student’s return, we are asking that you once again provide feedback via a new Distance Learning Parent Survey that will be sent out via Beehively on Wednesday, April 1. We will also be sending a student survey to grades 3 – 8, and we encourage everyone to participate.
The motivation of our parents, faculty, staff, and students has been the key driver of our success so far. We ask that everyone take Easter Break to reenergize and return with a renewed motivation to keep up Distance Learning for as long as needed. Our students depend on all of us, and their success is reflected in all of us.
