HTM News and Events | February 2017
A Note from our Head of School
Thank you for your ongoing support and participation in campus life here at HTM! I appreciate all of you who came to our recent Parent Meeting - it was great to celebrate all we have going on with our community!
Our new SCRIP program is in full swing and we are so encouraged by your enthusiasm! We are all excited about this opportunity to give back to the school on items you already purchase. If you haven't yet signed up for your training spot, make sure you reserve one (be on the lookout for an email from signupgenius.com). This program is going to be a huge boost for our families and will help many people with tuition as well as personal contribution goals!
It's going to be a busy spring, so be sure you save the dates for April 8 (Family Work Day) and May 5 and 6 (our Spring Celebration). We'll be in touch with more information as the dates approach, but we would love to see each family at these events.
Have a great February!
Put Down Roots with Family Legacy Trees
Each tree will have a marker signifying the donor family. This is a great way to celebrate your children, honor a family member, remember a loved one who has passed away, or give tribute to a meaningful organization or cause. You'll leave behind a wonderful legacy with a tree that will continue to grow and contribute to the beauty of our campus long after your children have moved on.
More details, including purchasing and placement info, are coming soon. For now be sure to save the date for April 8th, our Family Work Day. We'll be coming together as families to plant our trees and work to make our campus look fantastic. You won't want to miss it!
Coffee with Kate
Parent-Teacher Conferences Coming Soon
For now, make sure you invite your child's grandparents and special friends to see him or her perform in the School Musical on Friday evening, May 5. Our children will be working hard between now and the performance to learn all their lines, songs, and dances and build their sets, create their programs, and more. It is truly a production that you will not want to miss! Plan to stick around after the show and celebrate this big accomplishment with a Celebration Dinner together with our HTM community.
Saturday May 6 will begin with a family obstacle course-slash-mud run and a pancake breakfast. The afternoon will be full of special events, including the official Blessing of the School and our ribbon cutting at a ceremony to honor those who helped make our new school possible. Following this memorable moment, we'll enjoy a special concert and a festival including games, inflatables, and more.
Stay tuned for all the details...we will be in touch with those soon. In the meantime, get excited about this wonderful opportunity to celebrate and give thanks for our beautiful campus together!
VIP of the Month
Gette has always been incredibly enthusiastic about our school. She has organized multiple fundraisers over the years and has been crucial in the process of empowering and mobilizing our HTM parents to serve, contribute, and support our school. Her enthusiasm and encouragement are so important to us - she never complains but frequently offers amazing ideas and solutions.
This semester alone, Gette organized our first clothing sale with a goal to raise $500 for the school. Thanks to her commitment and determination, the sale was a complete success - Gette and her helpers raised more than $1,100! Additionally, Gette spearheaded a fundraiser for Super Bowl Squares which of course was a big hit among our community. Beyond this, Gette has organized our Super Saver book sales and rallies our parent community to contribute with Kroger Plus Cards and many other solutions which make a huge difference for our school.
We are so thankful for parents who see a need and take the initiative to make a difference. Gette, we are GRATEFUL to have you as a part of the Holy Trinity Montessori community and we HONOR you for all that you do!!
Law Explorers Camp
Do you have a rising 6th - 8th grader who shows an interest in law? Law Explorers Camp is a fun way to experiment and learn what it's like to be a lawyer!
Belmont University is hosting this fun and educational camp this summer. Campers will learn more about the American Legal System, the Constitution, aspects of criminal law, ethical obligations of lawyers and judges, and components of a trial.
